Wanda Hutchins and Michael Strahan first met at an American School in Germany when they were 12 and 14 respectively, as Wanda's mom told the New York Post. Years later, in 1992, the couple got married in Denmark, according to the outlet. Strahan then began his professional football career with the NFL in 1993, which filled his schedule with practice and press.
During the course of their relationship, Strahan and Hutchins had two children. Their firstborn daughter, Tanita Strahan, was born in 1992. Their son, Michael Strahan Jr. came along three years later. Only a few months after Michael Jr. was born, Michael Sr. filed for divorce.
Strahan wrote in his 2015 motivational novel, "Wake Up Happy: The Dream Big, Win Big Guide," that he and Hutchins have since then maintained a cordial relationship so they can co-parent their children peacefully. Today, Hutchins became an interior designer and now owns Wandaful Home Design. Tanita is a popular visual artist based in Los Angeles, and she sells her colorful pieces on her website. Michael Jr. ended up graduating from the University of Texas-San Antonio. "There is so much I am thankful for," Strahan captioned an Instagram of his children for Thanksgiving. "There is nothing I am more thankful for than the honor of being a father to this group. My TEAM for LIFE!"
