She’s a Colombian and American actress, model, and television personality who developed a passion for acting at a very younger age.

Vergara became a household name while co-hosting two television shows for the Spanish-language television network Univision in the late 1990s.

Her first notable acting job in English was in the film Chasing Papi and subsequently starred in Four Brothers, and Meet the Browns.

Vergara went ahead to feature in Madea Goes to Jail, and for her role in this film, she received an ALMA Award nomination.

Her other film credit includes; New Year’s Eve, The Three Stooges, Machete Kills, Fading Gigolo, Chef, and Hot Pursuit, among others.

She has also had voice-over roles in the animated films Happy Feet Two, Escape from Planet Earth, and The Emoji Movie

From 2009 to 2020, the multifaceted actress, Vergara played Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the ABC comedy series; Modern Family.

For her role in The Modern Family, she was nominated for four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards, and eleven Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Since 2020, Vergara has been a judge on the television talent show competition America’s Got Talent.

In July 2023, she hit major headlines after she and her husband, Joe Manganiello announced their breakup. The couple are reportedly divorcing after seven years of marriage.

In a statement, the couple, shared: ‘We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives’

The news comes as Vergara has been celebrating her 51st birthday during a trip through Italy. While she’s shared posts from the vacation on Instagram, none of the photos have featured Manganiello.
