made it to the semi-finals of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, but she was unable to compete in the bout.
On the May 24 episode of WWE NXT 2.0, Lyons was removed from the competition due to an injury. Josh Briggs noted that she suffered a freak accident that happened in training. Tiffany Stratton replaced her in the semifinal match against Fallon Henley. Stratton talked her way into the match by complaining about how Lyons’ injury would give Henley an easy path to the finals, and the latter responded by saying she’d be happy to face Stratton instead.

Lyons had been viewed as one of the favorites to win the tournament, as she has quickly become a breakout star on NXT. She and Cora Jade defeated Natalya and Lash Legend at NXT Spring Breakin’.
Update: Lyons later commented on the news by thanking fans for their support and saying everything happens for a reason.
Thank you all for the well wishes! Determined more than ever now. Everything happens for a reason. Much love & positive vibes ?❤️??
