VICTOR, Idaho (CBS2) — A man wanted for homicide and kidnapping has been found by Bonneville County Sheriff's deputies.
Jeremy Best is the suspect who is believed to have committed a murder and kidnapped a 10-month-old child from Victor, Idaho. An Amber Alert was sent out early Friday Dec. 1st. about the 10-month-old boy, Zeke Best, who was taken by Jeremy, his non-custodial father.
According to Bonneville County Sheriff's Deputies, they received a call at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2nd. from individuals who were hunting on Kepps Crossing Rd. near the Dan Creek Rd. east of Idaho Falls. The individuals say they located a naked man in a sleeping bag on the side of the road. Police identified the man as Jeremy Best who was wanted by the Teton County Sheriff's Office for homicide.
Near the area where Best was found, they located his vehicle a black Chevy SUV down an embankment off the roadway. That's where deputies located a child deceased at the scene.
Bonneville County detectives, Idaho State Police, and the Teton County Sheriff's Office are processing the scene and continuing to investigate the crime.
Best has been transported to the Bonneville County Jail and booked on an outstanding Teton County Warrant. He will remain in custody until his arraignment.
